St. Louis native Holly Huelskamp has been performing as a soloist, chamber musician, and concertmaster internationally. At the age of 28, Mrs. Huelskamp entered the Orquesta Filarmónica de Santiago, Chile where she quickly rose to become the first female concertmaster of a major theater in South America. She leads the orchestra in all three genres of orchestral music including opera, ballet and symphonic programs, as well as performing as soloist several times with the Philharmonic and surrounding orchestras.
Mrs. Huelskamp is a founding member of Chile's premier chamber group, Ensamble Filarmónico, playing chamber repertoire in every major theater in Chile and several in Europe. Their recordings are also featured on the major classical music "Radio Beethoven" station. In addition to her playing responsibilities, Mrs. Huelskamp is a professor of violin at the Universidad de Chile and the Universidad Mayor. Her students have won many competitions, scholarships, and entrance to major conservatories throughout the world.
Mrs. Huelskamp received her Bachelor of Music from the University of Missouri-Columbia with Eva Szekely and John McGrosso and her Master of Music from Indiana University-Bloomington with Alex Kerr and Paul Biss.
